This is a one owner vehicle. I've had this car in for every scheduled service. Despite that, I have been having an escalating problem with the engine. I had it checked out by the dealer 3 months ago, who told me there was nothing they could do at that time, and then by another reputable mechanic, who couldn't find a problem with engine. There is a delay in switching gears, and it bangs into the next gear after a few moments. After about 15-30 minutes of driving the car, it locks in one gear and will not switch out, even manually, unless I turn the car off and restart after some time. I just had $1000 worth of work on this car, including a new temperature gage. The tires are almost new. The car has some body damage as well. Both bumpers are banged up from parking in Manhattan, the hood has a large dent, the driver's side mirror is currently attached only by tape, and the other side is missing a cover. I do have a replacement mirror though(it cost me $200 from Basic Car Parts). Also, some of the paint on the sides and top are discolored from a botched repair. The interior is in good shape. The mini insignia on the steering wheel needs replacement, but the upholstery is in good condition. All electronics in the car work perfectly. It has the upgraded Harmon Kardon stereo system. This car is only drivable for 15-30 minutes, so it would have to be towed or picked up.
