Inspected in Virginia until Nov 2011. This is a "very original" 635. Fast, turns heads, drives straight and brakes straight. An absolute joy to drive up through and past 4,000 RPM's. Upgraded ECU chip - 10% performance increase. Shifts through the gears flawlessly. Original BMW cassette radio. 14 Michelin tires with lots of tread remaining on stock wheels. No dash cracks. Paint is original but looks great. Body - no known accidents (see CarFax Report) - excellent straight lines looking down either side of the car - minimal rust around rear arches has been treated - expected scratches. Needs A/C recharged. A very dependable "daily driver". I drove it 900+ miles from Virginia to Florida in March without any issues. I have three lovely BMW's from the 70's and have taken excellent care of this car. Since I purchased it in June 2009, I've replaced the following with new parts: * Clutch kit, Disc, Bearings, Slave Master ($1,217), Front Rotors and Pads ($549), Interstate Battery ($153), Starter, Cables, Wiring, etc (($1,301), Hood and Trunk Roundels ($87), Transmission fluid flushed ($110) and Coco Mats ($145). Items not perfect but tolerable of a 25 year old car: The trunk lid won't stay open - left spring needs to be replaced. Slight rust around rear wheels has been treated with POR-15. The odometer stopped in Oct (I've kept a detailed log of how much gas I've purchased since then - less than 1,000 miles). Partial tool kit. Low coolant displays but coolant levels is fine. Antilock light and inspection light need to be reset with an OBD tool. Radio has worked fine but now, it's not accepting the radio code - disconnected negative battery cable but no resolution. Sunroof worked fine until last week - opens to about one inch.
