I AM GIVING THIS CAR AWAY AT THIS PRICE! SECOND HOME PURCHASE DRIVES THIS DEAL SO DONT WAIT! 1980 Mercedes convertible for sale. Last year for the 450SL before they went to the dreaded 380SL. This car is in really wonderful condition and could be driven everyday if need be. Over $12,000 has been spent on this car since 2008! Here are some of the highlights: New Brakes, New Top (BOTH HARD AND SOFT!), New interior, Tires, Seals on the Door, Brand new Car cover, dash pad, etc.. The car is very quiet and smooth. The mileage is really low for a 31 year old car (jeez, its been that long since 1980...) Paint is great and original. Being southern there is no rust anywhere, like new underneath. No leaks, smoke or smells. Oil pressure is REALLY tight. Orignial radio is very nice and has that new fangled cassette player they had just released! Original manuals. To make the car perfect I would: Change the fuel accumulator in the next 1000 miles ($110). A/C was charged two years ago and isnt cold enough anymore so it will need to be recharged if you dont have the top down. I always do so that isnt really an issue. Temperature sensor doesnt work, probably needs to be reconnected. Some carpet pieces in the back have faded due to the sun, can be dyed or repaced cheaply. plastic cover on the window washer holder. This may sound like nick picking but I want the buyer to know exactly what the car may need so there are no surprises when you come to pick it up. But know this, I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country right now. Check my feedback and buy with confidence.
