Vehicle Detail

1958 Chevrolet Corvette Hard Top Convertible 100,000+ Miles-Runs and Looks Great!Engine- 8 Cylinder 283 3 speed power glideVin#- J58S104508Exterior Color- Roman Red with White CovesInterior Color-Black-CarpetedAutomatic Transmission Up for sale is my 1958 Chevy Corvette. I think I am the 3rd owner. The previous owner was a friend of mine, he and his wife were married in it. I have owned the vehicle for 21 years. Although I have started the vehicle periodically, it has sat in storage for awhile. I currently have a new project, so I no longer need this vehicle. The car itself runs good especially for its age. -Car is fiberglass.-Has Original Black and Gold California Plates.-The air vent system works.-The transmission is in good shape but not original.-Wonderbar radio (needs new antenna)-Has new wiring harness.-The seats in the car are in great shape but they are from a later year probably ‘63, I will include the seats and frames for a '58 but you will have to restore them. -Door panels look great but has slight knee wear on driver side.-The carpet is worn on driver side and faded which can be seen in the pictures. The dash has a few cracks. Lap Belts, Arm Rests, Center Console w/ Floor Shift all in good shape. -Gauges and Instrument Cluster look great. --- Original Pedals.-All Gauges are Original. -All lights work, Dash instrument Cluster, Radio, Head-lights, tail lights, brake lights, Turning indicators, running lights.-Aluminum cove on passenger side looks great. The rear emblem is in great shape (might want to replace front emblem). -Side windows work, nice glass, nice stainless, felt still looks good.-Original Windshield has large crack.-All door, trunk and hard top rubber seals are great.-The car could use new paint, cracking and chips here and there but the car is beautiful (please see pictures). -Speedometer does not work.-The stainless trim and chrome is in great shape. Has original hard to find trunk spears. The left front bumper has slight rust. Front teeth and grill area is beautiful.-Key lock on passenger side needs to be installed I have everything but the inside “U”clip that holds it in place (it came loose when I went to open the door and it’s probably inside the door panel). -Hub caps look great, tires are in used condition with white wall pealing in some areas note in pictures.-There is a spare tire never used, no jack. The windows on the hard top have cracks but rubber seals look great. -I have tried to describe this vehicle in great detail, please email me if you have any questions. Overall, this is a beautiful classic for it’s age!On Jun-05-11 at 22:29:04 PDT, seller added the following information: -I stated in the decription it was a 289, after checking the engine block numbers today in a corvette forum, I was told it was a larger engine possibly a 307-327 or 350 and NOT a 289. I am sorry for this error. -Heater/Defroster works fine, blower turns on/off, heat exchanger works fine. -Exhaust system has been restored. -Inside under dash light turns on when door opens. -Please email me if you have any further questions. Thanks
