Its time for me to relax a little and go cruiser- Up for sale is my '98 TL1000R. Never down. Solid, powerful, loud and vicious bike. No leaks, smoke, etc. Will not sell to "Rookie" rider. Purchased used in San Diego, CA (2004). Garage kept. MODS: -anodized gold rims -'06 Micheal Jordan theme w/ Jacket to match -pilot power wheels (rear newer 80-90% tread, front needs replaced 30-40%) -wave rotors -beefy chain/sprocket kit -steel brade brake lines (fresh pads) -custom paint in '07 (normal wear, couple chips) -custom exhaust (very loud/deep sound, welds needs cosmetic finishing) -fresh grips (need new bar ends) -TRE -Power Commander II -33K -custom rear view mirrors -other cosmetic upgrades HONEST FIXES/ UPGRADES: -needs tune up for new exhaust flow (runs rich when TRE engaged, runs perfect when not engaged) -fresh oil change before winter storage (change per preference) -front tire needs replace -custom paint body/rims shines up perfect but has normal wear and chips -needs new bar ends (lost during '07 repaint) -seat cowl ruined during '07 repaint, never replaced/ seat upholstery messed up fold. OVERALL: Bike needs nothing to go out and run like a demon. She does, however, need some things to be brought back to pristine cosmetic condition. This is a very powerful bike, runs strong and rides straight. Never any issues, never dropped or crashed. One of my favorite toys- different times for me now with the family. Time to let her go and let someone else enjoy her..... The bike turns heads 'cause everyone hears a bad ass chopper or harley flying down the road (safely) but looks to see a crotch-rocket..
