Offered for sale is our 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL convertible two seater. This car was purchased new by the original folks in San Diego ,California in april 1976. It was garaged there for 30 years. Our friends told us about it and we bought it for a weekend toy. The inside of the car is very,very striking indeed as it appears to look quite vintage,and clean ,neat ,nearly new. The interior fixtures all all there and no small pieces are missing,none broken at all. It was adult owned and little used . The seats have a crisp european scupture and style and are quite firm and comfortable. There is no dust or dirt inside.or outside. The dashboard looks great for original and all guages and electrics function well including radio and electric antenna. The windows are push button ,like a new car. The exterior was in great shape,and last year we had its perfect body restored with an expensive Mercedes shop refinish of a very professional standard.. It came ot very nicely and the edges are smooth too.It stays in the garage,coverd so the black does not attract dust. We are moving out to the countryside and the new road is gravel so we are selling this beautiful car to someone who can keep it the way it is now. It runs and drives more like a new car than an old car.The mechanic who checked it when we bought it said that it is very well taken care of and should be good for a long time if properly kept after. He also told us when he raised it up that there is no rust on the car nor the undercarriage.When you open the hood,it is very clean and neat there too! The manuals and booklets remain in the glovebox. It has two top removal tools.The boot compartment is neat and tidy with a spare tyre and jacking tool,and a wrapped set of road tools.There is also a roof hoist and roof cover in there.Yes,we will include a cotton car cover in the boot also.So,it's back in the garage ,coverd and awaits the proud new owner.$500 down payment due the close of auction,right away.Balance can be USa cashiers cheque.Thanks for looking.
