I have owned 7 Mercedes Diesels over the years and this car is my favorite. 1985 was the last year of the iconic 5 cylinder diesel engine and by far the best. I had always wanted one of the two door coupes and could not pass this one up when I found it. So few of these are left in this condition that many consider them collector cars. Since purchase, I have taken a job where I have to commute 80 miles per day to the city and I do want to do that to this car. Here is how the car was described when I bought it: "This classic coupe was owned by my grandfather who recently passed away. The car was owned by him since April of 1985 when the car was new. It was always maintained by a MB dealer from day one. it is all original and has never been in an accident. All features work correctly. There are no leaks, squeaks or rattles. The chrome, paint, interior and wood all like new condition. The car has new brakes, tires and rotors. The oil has been recently changed, new filter, trans fluid and filter and valve clearance adjustment was done. The car needs absolutely nothing. This is a super mint classic car. All systems work perfectly including the ice cold AC, cruise control, all windows, transmission shifts perfectly, seats are firm, no cracks in the dash, no leaks, no rust, the paint shines beautifully, no fogging on any windows, smooth idle, no leaks, never smoked in, no smells. In short, all the things that typically go wrong on these cars are right with this one. If you are local, you are welcome and encouraged to come inspect the car.
