Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2000 Ford Taurus. THIS CAR HAS SOME ISSUES YOU NEED TO READ ABOUT BELOW BEFORE READING. At this time I have a difference car to drive and don’t want to put any money into fixing this one. I acquired the car in a trade a few weeks ago so I don’t know a lot about except what I have gotten from driving it around town. FIRST THE PROS OF THIS CAR: Car runs and drives and has only 108350 miles which is pretty good for a car this year. This car has many nice options that come on it: Alloy wheels in good shape Power windows Power door locks Keyless entry (remote works great) Power seats Cruise control Air condition (works good, needs a charge though) Also, this is the flex fuel model so that would be something to take advantage of if that is available in your area. NOW ON TO THE CONS (PLEASE READ ALL) First, this car is a fixer upper and needs work. It is perfectly safe to be driven home though it drives fine. There are a few things that should be mention that I have seen to be wrong with the vehicle. The paint has a few scratches that appear to be parking lot scuffs and also had some rust repaired on the drivers side rear fender and you can see the filler isn't completely level with the body but no major body damage (I tried to include all of them in the pictures) and also after the repairs were made the car seems to be completely rust free. It also had a squeal in the engine when I got it but i found out it was the alternator and I replaced it with a rebuilt on off of Ebay. Once I replaced it it isn’t idling correctly which seems to be an issue with power surging (ie. Alternator isn’t good so I got burned). There is a slip in the transmission as well and I don't know how long it will go before it needs the transmission rebuilt. This transmission needs worked on as soon as this car changes hands or it will result in the complete failure and will need replaced. Save yourself the money and get it to a shop ASAP. It is fine to drive home though I have driven it around town. It could also use a new set of windshield wipers also which is pretty minor. Needs a new set of brake pads too but rotors are still good. I also have a deposit of $300 due at the end of the auction to ensure bidders are serious. I also may consider trades depending on what is up for trade. Get in contact with me if you are interested. If you can work on cars this would be a steal to fix up. I drove the thing for a bit and had the auction up to $1500 with a day still on it but I pulled it because the transmission stared to slip and I am not selling something to someone unless they know what they are getting. I am not going to screw someone over to make a buck because I don't want that on my mind when I am trying sleep at night. So since this is all out there and I am being honest this is an AS IS auction. Thanks for looking!!!
