NO RESERVE ! WINNING BIDDER RECEIVES A COMPLIMENTARY, FULL TANK OF GASOLINE. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BIDDING! Up for bid is a pearl 2001 Dodge Stratus, 2 door coupe with a clean title. This is my fiancée’s car as part of her divorce settlement. She wants to get rid of the bitter memories that come with the vehicle…Her loss is your gain! The Stratus starts right up on the first try and runs good. Put your foot on the gas and the engine responds immediately. Has a gas saving 3.0L, V6 engine with just under 95,000 miles and an automatic transmission. No leaks from the radiator, engine, or transmission. The shocks and struts have plenty of life left. There is no major damage to the body (see pictures), mostly normal wear; minor scuffs, scratches, dings, and a bit of cracking. The interior is gray in color and the door side panels are painted white. The seats have no tears. It is fairly equipped with a stereo CD player, electric windows, anti-lock brakes and frontal air bags. Has a pair of blue aftermarket fog lights that have not been connected. It’s sitting on 18” Velocity star chrome rims. Tires have plenty of tread left. The Texas registration expires on October 2012. It hasn’t been used too often over the past year and a half. (The safety inspection expired December 2010.) The brake and battery light stay lit even though the brake is not engaged and the alternator and battery work fine. The fuel gauge is not functional; possible relay or fuse…? The service engine soon light comes on due to the vehicle needing a tune-up: oil change, spark plugs, wires, oxygen sensor, etc. The gear shifter is not OEM; I think it’s missing the transmission shifter cable needed to put the car in park. The hand brake is used as the alternate. The entire shift assembly is around $30 on Ebay. Also, it has electric locks but when you try to lock the vehicle, manually with the key or with the lock button, it automatically unlocks by itself. Don’t know if this an electrical problem. The front passenger’s seatbelt doesn’t retract. The trunk doesn’t open with the key; it’s lock is jammed up and needs to be repaired or replaced. However, the trunk can be accessed by folding the back seats forward and the trunk can be opened manually this way. As you can see, this car does have some issues but none of them affect the vehicle’s drivability. It runs well but does need some work. I preferred to fix all these issues myself and then put it up for sale but my wife to-be wants to banish it a.s.a.p. She no longer wants to invest on a vehicle that belonged to her ex. This car is also being sold locally. If a substantial cash offer is received, the auction will be terminated. Please send me an email, text, or call me if you have any questions: danielescobar@mail.com (915) 694-8274 DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE A NEWBIE AND/OR HAVE NEGATIVE/NO FEEDBACK. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP. A $500 DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL IS REQUIRED WITHIN 72 HOURS OF AUCTION-CLOSE. THE REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS. HAPPY BIDDING, GOOD LUCK.
