Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1972 Triumph Spitfire. I bough this a bunch of years back to restore but I do not have the time for it. The frame of the car, as well as the interior floor boards, were restored a bunch of years back and are solid. The car DOES NOT include the Weber side-draft carb because I am listing this with a $100 reserve and the carb alone is worth more than that. If you want the carb as well shoot me a message. When I took a compression reading I realized that the engine would need to be rebuilt because the compression readings were uneven and low. It was last on the road in 1998 with a previous owner and I last had it running a couple of years ago. The hood (bonnet) is missing as it was damaged - the front end has rust damage and needs to be restored. There is a small amount of rust around the bottom of the body panels as is shown in the pictures. The doors and trunk open and close easily. It includes a roll bar which is not currently bolted down. The convertible hardware works and goes up and down. I installed a Monza exhaust system as well which cost me about $370 from Victoria British. In other auctions I am selling all the parts I bought to do the restoration. If you want to look at those parts and make me an offer for the car plus the parts shoot me a message and we can talk about it. This car is obviously not in driveable condition and is a project. You must arrange transport for this - it will need to be flatbeded. This car is still titled in Virginia as I never registered it. I am NOT interested in parting it out. Good luck! The time to ask question is BEFORE you bid - when you bid it is a contract. I am happy to send you additional pictures or answer your questions. I am hoping that someone will rescue this project. The Weber carbuerator and exhaust, as well as the restored floor boards, add value to this project.
