For auction: 1971 Mustang Mach 1 true SURVIVOR! This mustang has 64,000 original miles, has never been disassembled and still wears it's original paint! This is a numbers matching car and the tags that came with this car from the factory are still there, right down to the coil tag. Very few bolts have ever been turned on this car. It runs and drives excellent. There have been few pieces changed including the master cylinder, water pump, carburetor, etc. I have original water pump and carburetor and they will go with the car. The car is equipped with power steering and power disc brakes. It also has ram air but I don't have any documentation saying that it is original to the car. All I can tell you is, I have known the car for 20 years and it was on it then and the previous owner said it was on the car when he got it. The ram air system is all Ford parts and was correctly installed, so it is either a dealer add on or could be original. As you can see, this car did not come with the side stripes or the blacked out hood. There are 3 or 4 very minor rust issues. I have taken specific pictures of these areas. The one of the quarter panel drain hole is by far the worst. The floor boards, trunk, torque boxes & everything else is in excellent shape with no issues. This car has all original panels & has never been cut on. The glass & chrome is very, very nice, not scratches or dents, except for a couple of dents on 2 lower molding pieces & I have replacements for those. This car also has ORIGINAL Magnum 500 wheels, these are not after markets. Still has orginal reverse lock-out, rubber boot under shifter hole and reverse light switch. The interior is original to the car and in excellent condition. The only thing that has been replace is the dash pad and the radio. Everything works except the clock. The things that I have replaced in the car are: new water pump, new hoses & belts, spark plug wires, valve pan gaskets, thermostat and freshened up the paint on the engine (nice job). In my opinion you can never get the drive and feel of an original car once it has been disassembled. Even though the paint is getting thin, this is still a very impressive car. So if you are looking for a 71 Mach 1 that runs excellent with no noises, leaks or issues and with all numbers matching, just the way it came, then this is the car you are looking for.
