You do the work , you get the benefit. But , yes, you have to put in a little sweat and money yourself...ever heard of sweat equity??This 65 Corvette Roadster sports a very nice body and extremely nice paint finish. The long time owner just never got around to doing the rest of the restoration work on this car. This Corvette has it's original interior and it will have to be redone...Maybe you have the skills to do it? maybe you don't ? But even if you don't , there are plenty of shops that will do it for you at a reasonable labor cost as it is not rocket science.It has a 65 300 horsepower Corvette engine dated January 1965 , a few months prior to this car's build. The motor stamp # is F0119HFThe block casting # is 3782870 and the date of casting is 5A16 . Ok, so it is not the original motor....but it is not the price of original matching #'s Vettes either. This is a good car that someone can afford to buy, put it in their garage , drive it when they want and finish the restoration needed when they want or when they have the funds available, so there it is in a nutshell. Now, a little more info about the car....It has good chrome and bright trim, decent tires , rally wheels that are not correct , but make the car standout in a crowd. Correct Goldwood Yellow with black vinyl interior,and white top. The top frame is good , the top material is not. The car runs out well and the transmission was rebuilt recently. The gauges work , the radio plays, and the headlights operate though the rh side is a little slower opening than the left. It is a manual brake and manual steering car. It has the side exhaust and we believe it to be an original side exhaust car. It runs and drives well and I think it will provide you with years of driving pleasure. The bottom line here is this, buy at the right price, invest some time and money, be way ahead of the curve when it comes to investing your hard earned $$$ and reaping a profit when it comes time to sell in the future.The odometer reads 98891 and we have no reason to doubt these miles as original but can't be for sure so it is sold as true miles unknown.
