What we have here is a 1972 BMW R75/5 "Toaster". I purchased it from a shop who was servicing it for the origional owner. I took it down and replaced the folowing; camchain, rings, engine seals and gaskets, clutch, fork seals,. The previous owner had very recently installed new tires, cables, battery, keyswitch, electronic ignition.. I lubed chassis and checked bearings. Reasembled it and put a good 500 miles on it. It runs great and looks pretty good too. All of the lights, turn signals, horn work properly. The guages both work. The tab on the centerstand to lower it is still there. It is very origional and nice but not "showroom" or restored. The Gas tank is very nice with origional paint and liner is in very good shape. The paint on the fenders and the pinstripes are not great or origional. The wheels are straight and clean but the spokes are a bit pitted. The exhaust has no roadrash and packing inside is fine. The headpipes are showing their age and the crossover is painted. Seatpan is in great shape and leather upholstery has no tears. Origional toolkit is included along with owners manual and factory tire pump. The origional BMW shoprag , though not in the greatest shape, is still there. California registration expires in May 2011. I did not transferr into my name but California pink slip in hand. $500 deposit due within 48 hours close of Auction, Balance due within 7 days close of Auction.
