This 1976 Fiat Spider has a problem with the starter. I had it running this morning and took it around the block. The engine runs strong and has a new battery and ignition switch. However, the starter is unreliable and sometimes only freewheels instead of closing the connection and turning the engine over. I bought this car in 2009 and have really enjoyed owning it. Unfortunately I don't have the time and energy to replace the starter so I'll take a hit and sell to the highest bidder. This could be an excellent candidate for a restoration. There is one sizeable dent (pictured) next to the front right headlight, the paint looks to be original, and there is only one significant spot of rust on the floorboard (also pictured). This was a California car until 2008. Please plan on bringing a trailer if you are going to transport this vehicle a long distance. I'm hopeful that it will start again if needed, but I can't make any gaurantees. Let me know if you have further questions!
