1996 VW Volkswagen Golf It has the 2.0 engine and runs fine. Just did an oil change on it. The automatic transmission has some issues and I don’t have the time to mess with it right now. It will go in reverse fine, we drove it in reverse through the yard, so putting it on a trailer would be no problem if you can drive backwards :-) but none of the drive gears work. Could be an easy fix or it may need a new tranny. The ABS light is on because it needs new brakes all the way around. I just picked up a different project car, so this one needs to go. Has your normal wear and tear.... New struts installed (they just need tightened up) Tires are like new... it does have an odor from the previous owner, but its really clean inside. :-(....Heat works, AC works , sunroof works, power locks works, some molding is off the car, grill is cracked, lights work, seats are in good shape, needs drivers side seat belt latch, rear window wiper is broke.
