Up for sale is a 2000 Ford Taurus. Car runs and drives and has only 108350 miles which is pretty good for a car this year. I just acquired the car in a trade this two weeks ago so I don't know much about the extended history of the car. I did find out from the previous owner that it had the transmission fluid drained and replaced which my guess would be it was an attempt to fix the slipping transmission. He bought if from a dealer as a fixer upper because the engine had a miss. They then found out that it was just a fuel injector and now the cars runs like a champ. This car has many nice options that come on it: Alloy wheels in good shapePower windowsPower door locksKeyless entry (remote works great)Power seatsCruise control Also, this is the flex fuel model so that would be something to take advantage of if that is available in your area. There are a few things that should be mention that I have seen to be wrong with the vehicle. The paint has a few scratches that appear to be parking lot scuffs and also had some rust repaired on the drivers side rear fender and you can see the filler isn't completely level with the body but no major body damage (I tried to include all of them in the pictures) and also after the repairs were made the car seems to be completely rust free. It also had a squeal in the engine when I got it but i found out it was the alternator and I fixed that and the alternator works great. There is a slip in the transmission as well and I don't know how long it will go before it needs the transmission rebuilt. It is fine to drive home though I have driven it around town. It could also use a new set of windshield wipers also which is pretty minor. Needs a new set of brake pads too but rotors are still good.After the alternator was replaced the engine isn't idling correctly now like all new cars do when you disconnect the battery. I also have a deposit of $300 due at the end of the auction to ensure bidders are serious. I also may consider trades depending on what is up for trade. Get in contact with me if you are interested. This car needs the transmission looked at my a mechanic first thing before it goes completely out!! When they start slipping they may be able to be fixed reasonably but if you drive this too long it will become a costly repair. Also, they need to look at the idling issue too which seem like it should be minor as well. I am starting this listing at $500 because I have a different car and don't need it or want it sitting in front of my house anymore. If you can work on cars this would be a steal to fix up. I drove the thing for a bit and had the auction up to $1500 but I pulled it because I am not selling something to someone unless they know what they are getting. I am not going to screw someone over to make a buck cause I don't want that on my mind when I am trying sleep at night. So since this is all out there and I am being honest this is an AS IS auction.
