1965 Mustang Convertible! Get Your Piece of Americana and Just Enjoy Life NO RESERVE-Bid and Buy. Spring is almost here, shed some clothing, put away your SUV and get ready to let your hair fly in this beautiful drivers car. Completely restored driver in great cosmetic and mechanical condition. I drive this car everyday the weather allows me to, and am selling this car only because of family obligations. The car has been garaged for the past 35+ years in various stages of restoration. There is absolutely NO RUST or ROT at all in this car. The flooring and under carriage is as clean as any part of the car, NO RUST or ROT, with records of sand blasting from the 1980's. Mechanically the car is excellent, and I use it to drive around town for 3-4 months of the year, and enjoyed driving the car this week (first nice spring week in RI). The car is mostly original except for the interior which is all new from parts bought from Mustang's Unlimited, aftermarket stereo/cd/mp3 system, and a transmission that was rebuilt 2 years ago, new exhaust, new gas tank, new starter, new battery, new tires, new brakes. The odometer does not work so I am unable to tell you what the mileage is, but I think it is very close since the car was only driven for 10yrs or so. I have all the paperwork and maintenance papers going back to the original owner. I bought this car to have fun in and drive in a piece of Americana without feeling nervous about parking it in a full parking lot, and for this I have gotten so much from this car. I can almost guarantee you that you will never drive this car without someone saying "nice car". I had contemplated changing a few things on the car such as the color of the car and the top, but the color is the original color "Poppy Red" that was repainted in the 1980's sat in storage for many years and there is really not much wrong with it...a "10 footer". There is a paint stain on the hood that is the most obvious cosmetic flaw. I placed a baseball next to the stain (see picture) so you get an idea how big it is. The top is fine doesn't leak and I never drive with it up so I have not changed it...again this car can be made into a 30K car with some work or you could drive it today. That is up to you. The car is being sold as is and without any warranty. Buyer is responsible for transportation within a week of the end of the auction.
