Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1984 MB 300DT Sedan. I bought the car for $1,400 and have put an additional $3,100 in it. I use it as a daily driver. Also, I will list the repairs to the car with pictures of the bill(s). I took two videos; however, Youtube can't load them (933MB). Overall, the car is in pretty darn good shape and runs perfectly as you will see in the pictures. In one of the pictures, you can see the temp., oil pressure, and idle are perfect...open the oil cap and you feel absolutely no blow-bye...you won't find a better running 300DT motor...period! The transmission works fine and the interior is in excellent condition. The sun roof works, cruise control works, all the dash/warning lights work, turn signals and lights work, blower fan works, and all 4 power windows work fine. Only things that don't work are the interior dash lights, power antenna (radio still works), and AC (not sure if it works or not). I'm only selling the car because I just bought a brand new 2011 Kia Rio (picture included). I've put about 10K on the car. Bought it in October of 2010. Here's what I've done: 4 Kelly Gold 70K tires (Goodyear makes these tires), Preglow Time Relay, RT Rear Axle CV Shaft/Arm, RT/LT Tie Rod Assymbly, LT Front Brake Caliper and Line, New Battery, AT Pan Gasket and Pan, 5 New glow Plugs, Lashed Values, New Primary & Secondary Fuel Filters, AIR FILTER, New AT Fluid, Wiper Blades, New Coolant, Radiator Cap, 2 New Alternator Drive Belts, Chilton Service Manuel, and more. The car is getting about 26-28mpg in town and between 32-34 on the highway...I averaged 29mpg on the last tank of fuel. The tilte is a *Rebuilt Vehicle* with a normal Indiana title. I have the title. If you end up getting the car, here's what you will want to do within the next year (my opinion): 1) replace exhaust...got a couple of tape spots on it...after market exhaust about $300...still fine and you not a big rush...just want to be clear on every detail of/on the car. 2) Back shocks...starting to moan and grone a little bit...quoted price for parts and labor was about $350 for Blistein shocks....you can buy a lot cheaper if you choose (will include quote for you to compare). 3) Heater core...I have bypassed it at the fire wall...the old heater had a leak...I have a new/used one in the box I bought from Oregon. It's an easy job to do, but it will take you most of a day to do since you have remove the center console and part of the dash. Only real area of concern/issue is the driver's side floor panels have some rust on them...I'm going to drill a couple of small holes in the floor panels because, as you can see in the pictures, some water gets in from either a semi-plugged sun roof drain or a leaky door seal...I'm not sure; however, a couple of small drilled holes will take care of the problem...same issue and fix for Jeep Wranglers. She's a good car..enjoy! Any questions...call me at 574-847-9832...thank you! On May-02-11 at 02:11:19 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI-going ahead and going to replace the CV shaft/axle on the rear right side mention in the add as a future needed repair...my estimate for the part and labor was $285...just want someone to buy a good sound running car...I've sold a lot of cars and other items on Ebay and have a perfect 100% rating in over 350 transactions, and I want to keep it that way; plus, I don't want someone to buy it and have to work on it...hope that helps with the sell. I have replaced the CV shaft/axlw for $350 (parts and labor).
