Attention Hunters, Fisherman and Off Road enthusiasts...Up for bids is my 1985 M-1009 Chevy 3/4 Ton 4x4 K-5 Militay Blazer with 6.2 Diesel and Yes....only 16,537 original miles.....maintained by the National Guard for 25 years....every 90 days wether it need it or not.....so to be combat ready....This was a National Guard Florida Vehicle...originally purchased my a friend of mine in the car business in 2009 (Free...Check Excellent Title report).......I bought this a year ago from a friend that is in the car business and buys military vehicles......This was his "Cherry" personal vehicle..... He bought it from Uncle Sam with 8,000 miles and needed some money in 2010....so I bought it from him with 12,000 miles last May 2010 and used it as an extra vehicle for hunting and fishing and local transportation.....This has never been mud raced or mountain climbed....I am a dedicated old time surf fisherman and used it 10 times on the beach...the 4x4 works perfect ..same as rest of vehicle..it still has the original gun racks behind the front seat...I am now retired and moved to Florida and left this vehicle @ my second home on the Outer Banks of North Carolina..... I don't use it enough to justify the cost of insurance...... Everything is in perfect working condition..... I installed (2) new HD batteries and had the windows tinted and installed a 12 volt receptacle for my cell phone.....plus...I added a trailer hitch receiver and roof racks to carry gear......you can still use the original pintail hook just turn it verticle for pin tail or use receiver for ball hitch...I never trailered but used the receiver with my gear carrier...The cigertte lighter is not working.... I also added a roof rack to carry gear (you can cut it short if you want to remove the fiberglass top..... I removed the seat and spare tire to make more room inside and made a raised wood floor...however, the spare and seat will sell with vehicle(see pictures).....The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles with 15-40 Synthetic oil (last oil change in Dec 2010 @ 15,000 mi...Vehicle passed NC State Inspection in Dec 2010 (less than 1,600 miles ago).....My understanding of this near perfect vehicle is the it has a 379 cu 6.2 GM diesel V-8 135HP @ 3,600RPM......The transmission is a GMTH 400 Turbo Auto 3 speed..... The transfer case is manual and so are the front hub locks...... It has a 3/4 ton HD axels-10 bolt front and rear with 3.08:1 gears.... Weight is 5,200 lbs, GVW is 6,400lbs....towing capacity is 13,000lbs....Brakes are HYD activated with disc in front and Drums in rear..Tires are 31x10.5RLT15 including a spare.....(You can check the GM Web Page to confirm what I have been told about drive line spec's)....the body is in excellent condition with no rust thru but does show slight signs of normal surface rust for it's age...the body is tight and the engine and trans are reliable with no issues...Nothing to worry about....it get 20-22mpg on the highway and you can run 60-70 with no issues with the street gears....other than the cigarett light not working the only other issue I am aware of it that the washer pump for the windshield wipers works but lost a spring when I tried to fixed it I lost the spring into heaven .....wipers work....has black out light that also works (so be careful not to trip switch because all tail light and turn signal will not work (this is a fetahure of all military vehicles so no noe can follow their lights at night..anyhow.....no big deal about washer if you live in or near a parts house...I live on an Island and don't have time to pick up a 10 cent spring....Nothing to worry because I have a excellent customer feed back and have sold trucks over $20,000 on Ebay....I require $500 payment via Pay pal within 24 hours of final bid and full payment within 3 days...contact me below and I will give you wiring instruction...or bring me cash or certified check made to Frank A. I am willing to help someone get statrted but don't want to get stuck with a "No Show..No Pay"... otherwise, I reserve the right to void your final bid.....if you don't have an approved Pay Pal Account...then...."Do Not Bid"...I will check you out...I am an experienced approved Ebay Trader and PayPal account holder...call me if any questions...I will help you qualify...Jake 252-305-1184 On May-19-11 at 19:31:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention all bidders....I just took the Blazer to my local Chevy Dealer...Victory Chevy in Kitty Hawk, NC... and had the oil and filter changed with 15/40W Synthetic and lubed and had everything checked all fluids, hoses, etc so now have about 100 more miles than listed and shown..see attached receipt which I posted @ 16,411 miles....I have receipts from this same dealer as follows: 04-26-2010 11,014 mi oil,filter and lube 06-21-2010 15,096 mi oil, filter and lube (made several fishing trips from NC to NJ) 05-19-2011 16,411 mi oil, filter and lube and complete check out belts, hoses, all fluid levels (Power Steering, Trans, front and rear axles, transfer case, radiator, etc...no leaks and all clean fluids...not many miles since last oil change because I moved to Florida and left truck in NC...but decided since 11 mos have gone by to change oil and double check everything for the lucky winner... Runs like a top @ 60-70 mph...20-22 mpg Just thought you would like to know taht this truck is top shelf./..Good Luck Bidding.../Jake
