Vehicle Detail

This 1972 Cutlass Supreme has been professionally bodyworked and has a fresh paint job and brand new vinyl top installed. The paint and stripes look great,he vinyl top turned out excellent as well. The car had very little rust or any body issues for that matter. Its from Eastern WA ,a very dry climate, and when I removed the front and rear windows there was absolutely no rust in either channel. The frame is perfect also. Originally a 350 4 Bbl car , it now has a low mile 1966 Olds 330 4 Bbl engine that has never been apart and runs great. It fires up every time, even in cold weather. My wife and I have been driving the car frequently on roadtrips and I would have absolutely no qualms about jumping in this car and heading accross country. Its a blast to drive and the people that see it go Ape. Original exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust using flow master mufflers with chrome tips. The car sounds really nice. It has a turbo 350 tranny that has been rebuilt and had a shiftkit installed. Tranny works great. New brakes, hardware kits and hoses. Power steering, pwr brakes, pwr front disc brakes, also it has its original 10 bolt rear end with a 273 open gear. These next items are new: Vinyl top, rear package tray, sway bar bushings, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, belts, carpet, headliner, rear seat, 442 grilles, trunk weather strip, roof rail weather strip, underhood insulation. washer bottle, SS Cragar wheels, with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 295/60/15 in the rear, 245/60/15 in the front. The tires have less than 1000 miles on them. Wheels and tires are in excellent condition. The dash is original and in good shape and the dash pad is not cracked. Glass is AC tinted glass and is all in good condition however there is a slight windshield burn in the pass.side. The car has nice original door panels, front and rear. It has shoulderstrap seatbelts in the front, and 2 sets of seatbelts in the rear. The seatbelts have been taken apart, cleaned, reassembled and are nice. The original bumpers are nice and have good alignment, and all of the trim is original and is in nice shape. As you can see I did a nice detailing of the engine compartment, it looks really great. Also, I detailed and spatter painted the trunk, and gave it new trunk carpet, and it looks sweet as well. This car drives very nice, its one of the very best driving Oldsmobiles Ive ever had and Ive had quite a few. As a matter of fact when I bought it I just wanted a cool Cutlass to drive for the summer, but when I started driving it I was so impressed with it that I decided I had to fix it up and give it a nice paint job and make sure it got into the hands of a collector so it would be saved. As I think of things and as people ask questions, I will be adding more to the description of this car. I am also happy to provide additional pictures of the car. Feel free to enquire, and thanks for your imput. On Aug-16-11 at 19:29:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Does the car have any rust? I recieved an email from a guy asking a few questions, and among them, does the car have any rust or bubbling, and when I sent my reply to the guy and forgot to address that part of his question so am answering it here. This car had very little ( only 4 spots,) rust when I got it and any rust in the body was cut out, welded in with patching and bodyworked. The rust existed in the front fenders which each looked rust free when I bought it but on closer inspection had some slight rust under the rocker panel trim and they each recieved patch a little smaller than a playing card. And the quarter panels each had some slight rust behind the wheel well and each needed a patch no bigger than a playing card. There are no bubbles showing in the paint either and the paint is in its second year. The (original) trunk floor does have a few pinholes and one hole a little smaller than an eraser. The whole trunk pan has been painted with POR 15 which kills the rust and prevents more from developing. This Cutlass didnt even have a speck of rust in either front or back window channels when I removed the windows which was really amazing. Its a good solid car.On Aug-17-11 at 19:23:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I recieved an email from a guy asking for a walk around video including a start up of the engine. I think this is a terrific idea and I wish I had thought of it! I am currently working on making that "video" and will be more than happy to email it to any interested parties. My camera cant do that, but Ive got a buddy thats going to bring his camera by tomorow night, hopefully I will have the video available tomorrow night, so email me if youre interested and I'll get it right to you. Ric The actual mileage that the car is showing is 62,000. In all honesty, I dont know if its 62 or 162. Could be either, but I wouldnt want to claim the 62 unless I knew for sure. One thing I will say is I have bought lots of older cars and I have found that the condition of the door panels is always a good indication of how much the car was driven, and both the front door panels and rear side panels in this car are still original and still look excellent.
