Here we have up for auction is a superb example of a right hand drive Jaguar Mark 2 saloon from 1963 complete with factory extras. The vehicle is in excellent condtion both cosmetically & mechanically. The exterior is a beautiful blue special order metalic paint & the interior is original Jaguar Ambla finished in grey (hard wearing vinyl) Paintwork is nearly new as the car was stripped down to bare metal a few years ago & was totally resprayed for a cost in excess of $14,000. All new seals were also installed as well as was a new boot lining. Any coroded metal part was replaced prior to re spray. It has a four speed manual gearbox with optional factory overdrive,white wall tyres, wire wheels,rear picnic tables, really nice wood dash & door cappings,spot lights,original carpets(no wear,) seat belts, etc. All lights interior & exterior are fully functioning & the 3.8 litre strong running engine has a 9.1 compression ratio for extra torque. This is really a lively Jaguar! This is a very reliable & great driving Jaguar & has been maintained meticulously by the present owner for the last 11 years of ownership. Tyres are like new & the spare in the trunk is the original that came with the car in 1963A ver comfortable & fun car to drive that always attracts attention. Recent new parts include, to name a few : stainless steel exhaust, front brakes, clutch master & slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, generator, coil,radio, ignition system,overdrive solanoid, re-cored radiator, oil pressure gauge, brake servo unit & front steering bushes. Due to the fact that this Jaguar has spent most of it's life in California, it is in perfect condtion & does not have the all too common rust & corrosion of a European Car that Jaguars of the '60's are unfortunately know for. It has won many prizes & trophies both in Canada & the USA & has been photographed many times & apperas in several books & journals documenting the Mark 2. Winter stored & only used for Jaguar & British Car Show meetings. Comes with drivers hand book, parts catalogue, repair invoices & service instruction sheet.
