This is a very well preserved and maintained original 5.0 I bought for my wife, in Nov. of 08 and she's loved it so much she just bought a new one. Now the 87' needs a new home. It can't be kept inside any longer. Since I have owned it I have completely renewed the fuel system from cleaning the tank, fuel pump, fuel injectors and lines. Also new computer, all sensors, plugs, wires, cap, etc. motor mounts, tranny mount, u-joints, brakes, shocks, mufflers, hoses , serpentine belt and tensioner, all filters and fluids, and a K & N air filter. Wheels are American Racing that were a dealer option. Tires and top appeared to be new when I bought the car. The long time 2nd owner registered the car in Oregon but kept it in Palm Springs, therefore the low miles. The paint is original with just a few minor flaws and the orange pinstripe on the sides is like new. Some of the flat black around the windshield is peeling, (see pic's) and some trim is missing for the shoulder strap, ( see pic's ). The car is completely rust free and is very fast. 1987 is the first year for fuel injection ( which really made them come alive ) and has a more high performance camshaft than 88' and after. This car is solid and turns heads both at shows and while driving. The car may be inspected at the weekly Saturday car gathering at the doughnut deralict meet from 6-9 am. It is held at the N/E corner of Magnolia Street and Adams Ave. in Huntington Beach Calif. I am setting the starting bid at $4,000 with no reserve, which is near half of what I believe the car should sell for. Make no mistake this car is going to sell, bid with confidence, look at my feedback and read comments. Feel free to ask questions. This would be a nice addition to any collection.
