For sale is this classic 1983 European-Style 500SE. This is NOT a 1980, but Ebay's formula would not accept the VIN number on this 1983, I believe because it was originally titled in Europe, with a different method of listing VINs, but I have the clear title registered and in my possession, with the correct VIN listed above. I'm not trying to fool anybody, but could only run the ad by stating 1980 instead of 1983. So the car is 3 years newer than the heading states. Car was owned by an attorney in Texas, tagged in March in Oklahoma with a clear title in hand. Very few of these cars are found in the US - originally made for sale in Europe. The car looks great on the outside, has perfect rims and like-new tires. Could be a collector's car. Needs LOTS of work on the inside, some cracks on the dash and tears on the seats in front. Missing stereo & speakers, non-functioning cruise, dash lights, and odometer stuck on 143,000. Speedometer works fine, 3 of 4 power windows operate, and the engine runs strong. Heater works great, not so the A/C. May need some front-end adjustments. Has a few small dents or dings, a crack in the windshield, but amazing looking for this age of a car. I've added a little power steering fluid every 3-4 weeks - doesn't burn or leak oil or smoke. NADA lists this car anywhere from $7000 to $12,000. Put some work into it and it could well be worth it.
