Up for auction is a 1972 Javelin AMX clone with the Mark Donahue paint scheme. This car started life as a regular 1972 Javelin w/ AT transmission. As you will see in the pics, all the AMX badging is correct. Here are some of the options: *AMC 401 engine *Close ratio BW T10 (1968 date coded) *NEW Centerforce Dual friction pressure plate, disc & pilot bearing *NEW flywheel *NEW Moser Dana 60 w/35 spline axles w/ 3.73 & detroit Trutrac locker *NEW custom driveshaft w/1350 U joints *Custom aluminum transmission crossmember (original included w/car) *NEW NOS Hurst shifter and linkage (not new release or reproduction) *RARE Dual snorkel air cleaner base w/flapper top *Trendsetter side pipes *RARE rear window louvers (metal) *NOS wheel center caps *NOS new taillight and center reverse lenses (1971 style) *Restored front grille w/1971 turn signal lenses This is a partial list of the options and goodies on this car. Some of the negatives are the speedometer not working (new cable included), clock not working, windshield has light scratches, fabricated 4 speed shifter plate (was going to convert to 5 speed) and small ding under driver side mirror. I will include any paperwork and receipts I have and some spare parts and will give anything extra I can find. The reason I am selling the car is I just dont drive it much (only 2 times in 2010) and of course I need the cash. Please look at the pictures and any questions or info are always welcome. I am not an AMC expert but received alot help along the way in the 6 years I have had the car. This sale must be CASH only. I apologize but it has to be this way so please don't bid if you do not or can not pay in person with cash. I know it will be difficult but I have no choice. I will give some extra time if needed to pay if necessary including cash payments if close to my location. It has to be this way. I will not reveal the reserve price but the reserve is well below what Grundy appraised the car and its insured value. This car is well worth the reserve and no disappointments here. Winning bidder with have to provide shipping transportion and test drives will be conducted by appointment only and only on weekends. The car is at an offsite secured garage and not at my residence. I will only accept US and Canadian bidders I live near Philadelphia Pa. so arrangements can be made for airport pickup to view car. I will do what I can to accommodate perspective or winning bidder.
