Here's my 1962 220SE fuel injected Mercedes that I am selling. The car is a very sharp Mercedes. The car has been well cared for but will need some more tlc. The ad shows over 75 large pictures taken on 4/30/2011 so you now just what you are getting. I have taken all of the mats out to show how solid the floors are. I have not covered up things and have showed what you need to see to buy a car on the internet. The motor runs strong BUT NOW IS currently not starting because of lack of spark to the plugs. It is fuel injected and that is a great option to have! The brakes are front disk and rear drum. They work well but NOW HAS a line leak that just happened. They did stop the car well and the calipers worked well. The clutch has good pedal. The car is a 4 speed manual column shift standard. Reverse also on the column. These cars are so fun to drive! Known for their, "bulletproof" drivetrain and also the fintail look. These cars are just about to make a jump in value as they are beginning to climb in value. This one has the wood trimmed windshield, dash, around the windows and on the door panels. The door panels are in very nice shape. The seats are Mercedes Benz text and are in very nice condition for the age of the car. The floors are solid and the floor coverings are in good condition. The back carpets are original and showing wear. The inside smells like an older car but no smoking, pets, moth balls or mold stink. The lights, horn, wipers, signals, blower motor, blower motor and temperature control knobs, all are working. The factory radio and speaker work!! The locks work on the car and I have a few keys for the car. There is some evidence of damage in the past on the passenger side fender. Showable inside the hood and pictured below that it has some evidence of a bump in the front. There are some areas of rust as seen in the pictures, I have a spare factory 13' wheel and trim ring that is included but the tire was old. I kept it out so you can see the floor where the tire sits. The car has power assisted brakes, The chrome is fair condition and the body is a factory color but I believe tha the No power steering (steers pretty easy though) and a great fuel injected motor with a 4 speed manual! For now the car is in as is conditioin as you see it. I have a clean and clear Indiana that does show Odometer is not actual miles and that Odometer Discrepancy is checked. The odometer has been in this position since 2009 and the car has not been driven hardly at all. The fuel has been changed, the fuel pump works, the cap, rotor are all clean, the plugs look okay, but the spark is not getting to the plugs. That is where I ended and here is the car for sale as is. The battery is still good and it cranks over easy. The tires are in super condition radial tires all matching. The exhaust looks pretty new. The exhaust is all newer as well.
