Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a Military blazer that started off in South Carolina with the Air Force then ended up with the West Virginia Forestry. A ton of work has been done since purchasing it from the government. It was recently painted by a local bodyshop black with base coat and clear. The paint is very nice but not perfect. For a 27 year old Truck it is in very good shape. Having spent most of its life in S. Carolina it has virtually no rust. The only rust was underneath the rubber floor mat in the floor pans. I cut the rusty steel out and welded in new. I didn't want to use rubber floor mats so fiberglassed over the entire floor and rhinolined it to help with interior resonance. The floors turned out great. I have had one alternator re-built and new alternator belts. Two new 1000 amp duralast batteries, radiator flush and an aftermarket temp guage because I don't like dummy lights. Also installed a new 180 degree thermostat. I converted it manual glow plugs so you don't have to worry about the glow plug control card going bad. I replaced the original wellman glowplugs with AC/Delco 60g self limiting glow plugs. No worry about overheating them and swelling. I've installed new door seals and window seals in the doors and a new dash cap. I bought it with a broken tailgate handle and ordered a new one but haven't installed it. The blazer also has very nice aftermarket tail lights. The tires are in decent shape and would still run a long time. I bought this truck to fix up and use it for a hunting/fishing truck that i could also drive to work occasionally but I just came across a Jeep that I've always wanted so the blazer has to go. It runs very good and I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. I've put over a thousand miles on it in the last 6 weeks and it has done great. With the 3.08 gears it has no problems going down the freeway and will get you about 20 miles per gallon. The 6.2 diesel starts everytime hot or cold and burns no oil and has no crazy sounds. If your not familar with these trucks they are built like tanks and have a 3/4 ton rating with dana 60 axles front and rear and lockers in the rear. A TH400 transmission that shifts perfectly and flawless np208 transfer case. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 614-296-8298 or 614-871-8272. If I'm working you can leave a message and i will return you call as soon as I can. Thank, Jeremy This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. A 250.00 dollar deposit is required within 48 hours of auctions ending. Paypal, certified check and cash only. On May-02-11 at 02:19:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had an individual inform me about the axles being dana 60. I'm basing my info from cucv specs. I just want to make it clear i have not altered the drivetrain on this blazer. It's 100% STOCK to military specs. If you have any questions about the drivetrain i would research it and base your info on that. I don't want anyone to think im trying to mislead them.
