We are selling an outstanding 1986 JEEP CJ7 that has been extensively modified and updated and we are selling this incredible machine with NO RESERVE to the high bidder! ........ You read it correctly NO RESERVE ......... and you had better BID EARLY and BID OFTEN if you want to be the new owner of this JEEP. With the exterior painted a vibrant ......."SKITTLES ".........Green .......... you will not lose this JEEP in the Costco parking lot! ................. This CJ-7 will fit the bill no matter if you are exploring the back country and rock crawling .......... and it will still turn heads when you drive it to dinner downtown. The "SKITTLES GREEN" glossy exterior is memorable and will bring favorable comments wherever you travel. This is not just a great looking JEEP ........... It is a JEEP that has been very well thought out and the execution of all upgrades and custom touches is top drawer throughout............ The current owner of this 1986 CJ-7 aquired it in late 2002 and immediately began to improve what was already a very nice JEEP................... The re-manufactured engine has about 13,500 miles on it.......... Today the Original Speedometer / Odometer reads 153,750 Miles...... but the Speedo and Odometer are about all that has not been replaced, updated or re-made completely.............. Starting with the 5 speed manual transmission and having it completely rebuilt plus a new clutch ......... and then installing 4:56 rear end gears so that this JEEP is as happy on the highway cruising at 60 miles per hour as it is crawling over rocks at less than 5 miles per hour......................... A new fuel tank was installed and a complete new brake system including master cylinder and at the same time all of the suspension and shocks were also upgraded, there is even a towing receiver! ........... NEXT ......... a newly re-manufactured 4.2 litre inline 6 cylinder engine from ATK was installed ......... and this CJ 7 is now Fuel Injected with a MSD Ignition System................ A complete new wiring harness was installed and everywhere you LOOK ......... it is NEW or it is BETTER ......... than stock. The new engine and major upgrades were installed in the first few months of 2003 and since that time this JEEP has traveled just over 13,500 miles and it has been professionally maintained and Adult driven since that time. When not in use this JEEP is kept in a climate controlled garage and today it looks as though the work and upgrades were just finished yesterday ........ It is that nice! ....... When the word JEEP first came into the public consiousness in 1944 .... the word JEEP ... was short for . ."JUST ENOUGH ESSENTIAL PARTS" ........ JEEP. This 1986 CJ-7 certainly does not adhere to that adage. ........... With a 3 inch body lift and shod with 35 inch Goodyear AT Wrangler Tires with actual BEAD LOCKS (not just for show) this CJ 7 sits just right. A brand new and never used Warn XD 9000 winch ......... (with a hand held remote) ...... sits up front nestled between a pair of bright KC Fog Lamps which are mounted to the front bumper .............. A custom built roll bar protects the occupants who are perched in new high back seats up front and a matching upholstered back seat complete with seat belts for everyone. Continuing with the creature comforts there is a SONY AM/FM Compact Disc player with 4 speakers that sounds great ........... and a custom made soft-top to keep out of the sun. There is a new "TUFFY" center console that locks and also houses a CB radio............ Moving back to the OFF-ROAD features that you will get with this JEEP .......... it has OX Lockers installed to assist you in climbing through tight spots .......... and quick disconnects for the sway bars .......... as well as a custom solenoid to lock the rear brakes and a custom throttle control mounted to the shift lever that really comes in handy when rock climbing! .................... The "SMITTYBILT" all black front and rear bumpers plus side bars protect everything and everyone. This JEEP does not come with doors ....... but the original hinges are still installed and you could easily install soft or hard doors and a full soft-top would fit without any problem or modification................ This is an outstanding JEEP that took hundreds of hours and a generous checkbook to create ....... (A thick binder of receipts will go to the Buyer) ....... and now we need it find it a new home................ The owner has over $40,000.00 invested in this 1986 CJ-7 and if you can buy it for anything LESS than $20,000.00 ............ you will be stealing it and I am not kidding! ...........
