Vehicle Detail

2010 BMW R1200R Special Edition. 121 original miles. I purchased this bike new from BMW of Fort Worth on August 11, 2010 (~8 months ago). It has been in my garage with a BMW cover over it and attached to a battery tender for most of the time as you can see by the low mileage. BMW 36 month/36,000 mile warranty is transferable to the new owner. That gives the new owner the full BMW warranty protection until August 10, 2013. I purchased the bike with the idea that I would do some modest overnight road trips however, that never materialized. I spend most of my time tinkering with a vintage bike collection composed of BMW, Moto Guzzi, Harley Davidson, Matchless, and Honda relics. I am retired and have the time to tour, but just have more enjoyment tinkering and riding the old bikes locally. The bike is showroom new and perfect in every way. No incidents, no nicks, no ticks, no smudges/scuffs on the panniers from lazy leg/foot contact, etc.... nothing to report on the cosmetics. It's perfect. Mechanically it is new and far from being broken in. There is no story here. I just purchased the bike and then didn't ride it much. I have actually done this many times over the years with new bike purchases. I should learn, but I don't..... The Special Edition included a comfort package with the following (from BMW's website..still posted..go to the R1200R section and click the "Special Edition" from the drop down box); exclusive seat design grab handles for the pillion passenger heated grips onboard computer windshield luggage rack case rack with panniers main stand LED direction indicators chrome exhaust tailpipe The only change I have made is the mounting of a Parabellum tinted sport touring windshield ($219.95). It is much taller and suits my 6"0" height. I have the original windshield, which is in perfect condition and goes with the bike. It is more like a "fly-screen" than a windshield. I will supply the new owner with the original sales recipt, all of the manuals, key sets, BMW cover, etc. It is all there just the way I got it from the dealer. It is currently registered in Texas and insured. I do have a loan on the bike. It will be paid off in full and the clear title sent to the new owner as soon as my bank releases it to me. I will provide a notarized bill of sale that details this at the time full payment is received. Please don't let this be a cause for any concern if you are really interested in the bike. It is straightforward and done any time that there is a loan on a vehicle. I will assist the new buyer with shipping arrangements if needed. I use a company out of Kentucky that provides door-to-door shipping for $550 to states in the Central and Eastern times zones, and for $650 to states in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. I have been shipping bikes for many years and will be happy to make the arrangements. The new buyer can pay the transport company directly at the time of delivery or pay me and I will take care of it. Another option for consideration is to fly into DFW or Dallas Love Field where I would be happy to pick you up upon arrival and bring you back to my place so you can ride the bike home. There is a very nice Bed and Breakfast close by my home if you desire to overnight before heading out. I would be happy to make that reservation for the new owner if need be. You are also welcome to send all of your riding gear to me in advance of your arrival so you have that much less to lug around the airport and carry on the plane. I strive to make the E-Bay buying process as enjoyable as possible for the new owner. My reputation as an honest and trustworthy person to engage in business with is most important to me. Thanks for looking.
