You are bidding on a 1928 Willys Overland Whippet Four, Model 96. I am the third owner and have owned it for less than a year. The previous owner had it for about 40 years and drove it often in parades and local events. He bought it from the original owner. It is registered in the WOKR registry. My wife bought this automobile for me to restore and I simply do not have the time to do it. My loss could be your gain. This vehicle is in very good shape. It starts right up and runs well. It was restored about 10 years ago by the previous owner. There is no rust other than very minor surface rust and the fabric top is complete with no rips or tears. The interior and upholstery is in good shape with no visible damage. It has the original wooden spoke wheels and wooden steering wheel. All gauges work including the speedometer. The clutch and brakes work well. Here are the discrepancies I am aware of: Inside door and window handle for the rear driver side door are missing. Minor dings and scratches on the fenders and doors. Minor surface rust on the engine cowling due to a car cover rubbing on it. (See photos) Touch Control on the steering wheel is not wired up but the mechanical parts are all installed. One Whippet hub cover is missing. I have identified all the problems I am aware of. This is a very nice car and would be a great one to finish and drive.
