This is a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado Short Wheel Base 2WD pickup. If you know what this truck is, this is a great find! If you dont know what this truck is, keep in mind you are looking at a 25 year old automobile. It is not perfect and far from it. It needs work. It is a great project truck. These trucks are getting harder to find, especially in this shape. I have had this truck for almost 10 years. It has been in storage for the last 5 years. It ran when I put it in storage and has not been started since. I am in the military and am moving again and do not want to take this truck with me again across country just to put it back into storage. It has a 4.3 and ran good before I stored it. It has the 700R transmission that shifted great, again, before being stored. The interior is in pretty good shape for being 25 years old. Just dirty. The seat is in great shape no tears or holes. the dashboard is decent. The first year it was in storage the passenger side wing vent was broken out and the truck broken into and they took the stereo and messed up the bezel for the gauges/radio. The wing vent has not been replaced. It is taped up. The carpet is in decent shape too. The body is pretty good. The notorious rot spots for these trucks are in great shape on this one, the cab corners, floor pans, rockers and inner rockers are solid with the exception of a small rust spot on the passenger side rocker. There is also a small rust spot on the windshield frame. The passenger door has a dent in it. This truck has NEVER seen the snow. I bought it in Alabama and lived in Texas where it was in storage for 3 of the 5 years. The last two its been in my garage. Please ask any questions. The reserve is set very resonably. I really hate to let this truck go. I had big plans for it but you know how that goes. Its for sale locally, too. The frame is VERY clean.On Apr-28-11 at 16:27:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a few more pics..one of the engine compartment, a couple of the underside inner rockers and inner cab corners and one of the rust on the windshield frame. Again, look, if you know what this truck is..you can see that its in great shape for what it is by the pics of the cab corners and rockers...this truck is not perfect by any means...i dont know if it will start and run...im sure it will...it ran fine when i put it in storage 5 years ago!!! i would not drive this thing across the country...it is 25 years old and has been sitting in storage for 5 years!!!!!
