Vehicle Detail
1997 BMW R850R 75th Anniversary Edition This is a 1997 BMW R850R Motorcycle, 75th Anniversary Edition. Color is black/silver - rare tank color combination. I purchased this bike in March of 2006 with 18,000 and put on just about 7k. The current mileage is 25,171. I have meticulously maintained this bike and added a number of worthwhile accessories. After cleaning it for the eBay photos, it was a bit of a tear jerker knowing I have to sell it, but I had an opportunity to buy a local newer R1150R at a great price. I just changed the oil, oil filter and air filter yesterday for the 2011 season yesterday! Heated Grips, BMW Windshield, Laminar Lip Winshield Extension, BMW Side Cases - keyed to ignition key, Givi Large Top Case, Highway Pegs, Accessory Outlet, Heavy Duty Cover, Does NOT Have ABS, Autocom Pro-Rider Communication System (radio included), two sets of keys. Condition: Mechanically it is in excellent condition, with no known issues. Full service by local BMW dealership in May 2006 for $420. I have regularly changed the oil. New Metzeler rear tire in November 2006 because I picked up a nail. The yoke around the gas tank shows wear, there is an odd pin hole on the passenger seat, a 1/4 inch paint chip on the gas tank (see photos). The windshield has minor scratches on the right side that were very difficult to photograph. I have never dropped or crashed the bike, but I purchased it with 'evidence of it being dropped on the right side' (again, see photos). The brake lever and engine cover show minor scratches. I still have the original eBay auction description and details from when I purchased it in 2006. The bike is sold 'as is'. Selling and Pickup: A $500 deposit required within 48 hours of the close of transaction. Final payment must be within 2 weeks of the action end date. I accept paypal, money orders and certified bank checks. Winning bidder is responsible to arrange for pick up of the motorcycle from my house in West Hartford, CT and delivery for its final destination.
