For all you Caddy fans, here's your chance to own a ONE owner 1957 60 Series Caddy with only 56,670 original miles. This car was bought by a family brand new in 1957 and was passed on to one of the daughters. She had every intention on restoring it to its previous glory and even took it to a local shop some 15 years ago. Can you believe in 15 years all they did was dismantle everything and sand and primer some of the panels. It just sat on the top rack collecting dust for most of the past 15 years. When we pulled it out of the storage in this so called restoration shop, the parts were all there, but covered in tons of dust and dirt. As you can see in the pictures, we laid out all the parts to give you a good idea that all the parts are here, so you shouldn't have to worry about too many chrome pieces or original panels. The only thing we noticed was missing was the hub cabs, but after talking to the owners, they said it didn't have any on when they drove it to the shop 15 years ago. The body panels are all original and seem pretty solid, except for the rear floors which are very thin and need to be replaced. When we pulled out what was left of the original carpet, it seemed damp, so at some point it got wet and being kept in a damp storage bay just kept it that way. The trunk seems good except the spare tire well, which always seems to take a beating on these older cars. The only other part that will need attention is the rear bumper ends. The bottom of the buckets on the ends seemed to have collected water at some point and they have rotted out somewhat, but you can just buy the new end pieces since they simply bolt on to the center section. Let me repeat: This is a Matching Numbers One owner 1957 60 Series Caddy with all the chrome trim pieces and panels which are super hard to find if they weren't here. The daughter could not find the title, so the winning bidder will have to apply for one in their state which can easily be done. If you want us to get a new title prior to picking up the car, we have a local company that will do it for $350. We are a small dealer in Florida, so Florida residence must pay sales tax. Deposit of $500 is due via Paypal within 48 hours after end of auction. Balance must be paid in full before picking up car. If you want us to get a new title for you, you'll need to add the $350 the title company charges. Car is for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the car is sold locally. Please ask your question during the auction as this car will go to the winning bidder since it's a NO RESERVE auction. Don't let this opportunity slip by to own a true collector car.
