1978 Volkswagen Transporter bus. this was running bus which, I took all the camper equipment out to complete my 74 bus. has a no-rust or no-filler body. only damage is a front driver which is a repairable. steer and brake are working condition. since, some parts are taken off, require a parts to complete the restoration. missing a gas tank and middle seat etc, this auction is a rolling project bus without engine or transmission. tires hold air, back seat and front two seats. comes with a Hurst bus style shifter and misc other parts. most of a windows will comes with the bus. I have a good solid 2.0L motor and a 02 transmission 4 CV axles etc for the winning bidder for a extra. Have a pink slip (California title) but out of registration of couple of years. a Bus is located at Salton Sea Beach CA 92274, very dry South east desert area of California. (30min east of Palm Springs which is 2.5 hours from LA & Orange county) On Apr-23-11 at 09:21:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Have a front bumper and tow bar specially made for a bay bus with 2" ball hitch. roof has a hole for the camper pop up top. it was dark brown, light brown exterior as an original. primer was applied recently. has a rear spare tire cover with VW logo and comes with 5 original wheels and tires. both front & rear suspension is a good condition.
