Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a 2nd generation Camaro this one is worth checking out! This is a original 1979 factory 4-speed Z28 Camaro. All of the original paperwork has remained with the vehicle to make this a collectable car. This car has been stored in the garage all its life. Original documentation includes: the window sticker with the base price of $6579 + $1591 of factory installed options and destination charge with the list sale price of $8170.35. Warranty information pamphlet with the vin # labels, GM maintenance schedule pamphlet, spare tire information pamphlet, GM’s pre delivery inspection on 6/28/79, GM shoulder/ lap belt instructions, 1979 GM car consumer info, EPA fuel economy rating (13mpg) based on the v8 4 speed and $0.70 a gallon for gas with annual cost of $807 based on 15,000 miles, AM-FM stereo radio w/ cassette owners guide, notice of paint spotting from fallout covered for 1 year, 1979 owners manual, and the two build sheets sequence #004604. Additional factory installed options for the car are: adjustable drivers seat back, door edge guards, intermittent wipers, electric rear window defogger, air conditioning, tilt steering, windshield antenna, and turbine style 15 inch aluminum wheels which where a $242 upgrade in 79. The car runs, drives, and shifts great. The steering is nice and tight, the brakes work great, and it starts everytime. The car was repainted once about 10 years ago with the original color. The interior is in great condition. There are no cracks in the dash and the interior panels are in great condition. All the glass on the car is good. The driver’s side seat does have some splitting on the seams. The speedometer stopped working and I am sure it is just the cable. All the other gauges, lights, wipers, heater, A/C, horn, and emergency brake work. The car is currently registered, licensed, and insured. This is a very nice car. It has no rust issues as you would expect from a garage kept car. The car has been well cared for and still has things like the crosshairs on the front parking lights, the original floor mats…that most don’t have. It is fun to drive and gets attention. I have a clear title in hand. Priced to sell and it shouldn't last too long because of the condition of the car and its a original M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission (z28 model only). If you have other questions don’t hesitate to ask.
