$10,500.00 No Reserve------ High bidder gets this fine car------ No Reserve $10,500.00 A very nice clean 1938 Ford Deluxe sedan. It would be hard to find one this nice and priced so low! A very fine looking vehicle having excellent paint, upholstery, chrome, and tires. There are some minor chips in the pretty blue paint but they do not distract from the stunning beauty of this nice car. The vehicle has expertly installed 1948 Ford hydraulic brakes which work quite well. A major improvement to this last year of Ford mechanical brake vehicles. It has a 12 volt battery with a safety shut off switch. It has an alternator installed on the stock 85 horsepower engine. Otherwise the engine appears to be as produced by Ford. New upholstery has been recently installed and it is very attractive as well as comfortable. All new glass and felt has been installed. The window trim and dash have attractive wood grain. The windows roll up and down very easily. All the chrome is excellent. The bumpers and wheel covers look like new. There are no dents or dings on the car anywhere. The whitewall tires have lots of tread with very very little use. The drive train is in excellent condition and is quiet. The transmission shifts with ease and does not pop out of second gear on compression. The original clock on the glove box door works. It has a radio in the dash but no speaker. All doors and hood fit like a new car. They open and close easily like they should. The steering is easy which makes the car a pleasure to drive. It rides comfortable having Ford lever type shocks that Mr. Ford would be proud of. The engine compartment is clean and has decent wiring. The 12 volt battery is located where the original 6 volt was placed. The hood stays up and is not bowed like most early cars with this type of hinge mounting. The stock water pumps located on the block do not leak, nor does the radiator, and water hoses are ok. An electric fan (manually turned off and on) is mounted on the engine side of the radiator because of the alternator modification. The stock flathead engine starts easily, and runs good enough. The undercarriage shows no sign of rust damage (a typical California car) and nuts and bolts still have old fashion cotter pins in use. All in all while the vehicle is not perfect, it would not take much to make it an even more exceptionally fine vintage car. The seller requests payment by bank to bank wire transfer unless other arrangements have been agreed on. International buyers are welcome but they will need to make their own ship arrangements.
