1974 Honda Elsinore CR125 in very good 90% original condition. We are the third owner, rode this bike for about 10 hours before an "in house" restoration with $4000.00 in receipts was completed on this classic in 2006 and went on display at our heated Office and the local Honda dealer since. It has been started / test driven regularly every 4 - 6 months. Repairs, new parts and work performed included all frame, steel components and shock springs powder coated gloss black, perfect gas tank and paint job with original graphics, safety decal and "cream" sealer - no rust, oem color fender and side panel paint colors and decals (very slight chip in paint at fender mount), seat cover, levers / perches / vintage chrome handlebars, Moose Racing kill button, cone steering head and wheel bearings, new spokes, chain / sprockets, wheels trued as much as possible with very little deflection, new oem size tires / tubes, front and rear brake shoes, carb cleaned, throttle cable, front brake cable, clutch cable. We tracked down an oem expansion chamber with very slight pencil erasure size dings (3 - 4) only on the bottom side, oem "pickle" silencer and mounting bracket, painted high temp black. The top end was removed / cleaned / measured and considering the condition and compression was left as is, replaced the gaskets. No other motor work has been performed. Forks / shocks working smoothly - shock fluid age of each is unknown and may be original. Considering the age the fork / shock seals may need replacing although we do not ride this other than smooth pavement so there is no obvious leaking. This bike starts with 2-3 kicks cold or warm and runs / shifts through all 6 gears very well with the typical strong power at 7000 + RPM, no strange noises and great Elsinore "crackling" exhaust tone although very loud say the neighbors, we are not able to push this motor hard riding up and down the road so full throttle testing is not possible. No - this is not a professional restore and some parts are not oem but it is a great example of this first year model in good running and well above average condition, it's up to you to ride or keep as show. There is some very slight surface rust on some bolt heads, steel parts, let me know if you need a close up picture. Will be sold with a bill of sale as is no warranty. No shipping included although we can help with our ground level loading dock. A Circle F pipe, vintage chrome side stand, full size cover and Chiltons manual are included.
