Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1991 Suzuki DR350S. I've owned this bike for about 4 years, and it has been a joy. I bought it from a guy in Michigan who let it sit over the winter and couldn't get it started in the spring. I bought it and took it home and gave the carbuerator a cleaning and a new needle seat o-ring...and she fired right up! As far as I know there have been no major modifacations other than the kill switch bieng re-wired to turn the headlight on and off, this has been un-hooked and just needs to have 1 wire connected to have the kill switch operational again. I put maybe a couple hundred miles on it a year, mostly highway. It has plenty of low end torque and has no problem doing 65-70 mph with power to spare. The only thing it needs is a new battery, it still starts up and runs fine for demonstration purposes with the current battery. And remember people, this is a KICK-START ONLY bike with a decompression lever (which I don't use). It has good tires, plenty of knob left. I heard they are the best for a dual purpose bike, I'll post the brand and model tire later when I look. The battery box looks like it was slightly modified (cut) for a bigger battery, but the stock size still fits with a custom strap. It has aftermarket aluminium hand guards that are OK, nothing special (clutch lever slightly hits it). There is a small dent on the left side of the gas tank, and the plastics have a few scratches here and there....not bad for the miles and year. EDIT: I forgot to mention there are two small splits in the seat cover at the back. The title is in my name, ready to be signed off to the new owner. Also there is a spot on the swingarm that a few tech friends and I can't explain, because there is no evidence of it being down...regardless it doesn't affect anything, I just want to be clear about everything. The kick start lever has a nut welded on to it so I could easily take it off along with the cover to inspect the clutches when I got it. Half the plastic on the choke lever is broke off, no big deal. And finally the little tube/hose from the carb overflow is missing, so when the bike is moved around a little gas spittles out the nipple...just needs a new hose routed where it's supposed to and good as new. I just fired her up and took her for a spin around the acreage and she is running good! All said and done it's a good bike with plenty of go with the reassurance of Suzuki reliability. THE GOOD -Good tires -runs excellent -low miles -always adult owned -It's a suzuki THE BAD -Needs battery -kill switch needs re-hooked -small dent in tank-2 small splits in seat cover-needs overflow hose I prefer Local pick-up, but if you have the $$ and really want this bike you can send a shipping company to come pick-up. Also I don't live near any major public transportation terminals, but I do live close enough to the Ohio Turnpike...I-75 being slightly farther away. No trades either I need to sell this awesome classic. And ZERO feedback bidders I apologize, but I can't afford ebay's fee's when auctions don't get paid for. Anyone can feel free to stop out and look at it if your close enough, it'd have to be in the morning sometime. Any questions please ask! thanks for looking and good luck!
