AWESOME 1995 MERCEDES SL320 This is my wifes personal car that we have owned since July of 2009 (almost 2 years) It was aquired from Florida originally and has spent its life in the rust free south only. We have spent over $10,000.00 in repairs and upgrades since we have had the car. The engine runs absolutely flawless and you would not even know it was on, it is that smooth and that quiet. The transmission was just done last month (at a cost of $2,300.00) The car was painted just about two years ago ($1,800.00) and looks beautiful still today. The body is perfect with no dents or dings at all. There are obviously going to be a few spots touched up but the car looks beautiful for a 1995. Everything works of course on the vehicle as it should. In October of 2009 we completely rebuilt the hydraulic system (all 12 cylinders) that control the convertible top assembly (at a cost of over $3,000.00). All the brake components front and rear were replaced in September 2010 at a cost of over $1,000.00 (new drilled rotors, ceramic pads, calipers rebuilt and wheel bearings). The car has factory Mercedes Benz Chrome Rims from a 2003 SL which gives it a very nice updated look ($1,500.00) with P245/45X17 Z Rated tires (The tires have about 35% remaining of tread life). The interior is very clean and all the wood is in good condition. The drivers seat is nice and only the lower part of the passenger seat shows wear. The Bose Audio system is fantstic and all original. The steering wheel shows heat wear around the top (obvious from being in the south all of its life). The canvas top is in good shape and was replaced prior to us aquiring the car but does show wear around the rear window. It does not need to be replaced unless you are very picky. Other items that we have replaced are the Clutch Fan and Fan Blade, Water Pump, Steering Dampner. Mechanically this car is fantstic and I assure you it would drive to California tomorrow morning.
