Vehicle Detail
OK where to begin. Up for auction 1971 Karmann Ghia convertable prodject car. Back in 2005 I bought it with intentions of fully restoring her. Do to some changes more recently in my life I just dont have the time and interest any more. My loss is your gain. I'm showing pics before I removed the body from the pan as well as what has been done to it. The beam was sand blasted and there are new floor pans in, also a complete brand new 2inch adjustable beam spindle to spindle. All new shocks and steering assembly. Now for the bad news, the body needs alot of new medal and rockers should be replaced as well. The engine compartment has been sandblasted along with behind the back seat. There were some pin holes so I put fiber glass down in that area and needs to be sanded down, thats why it looks dark in that spot. This is a tipical Illonois/ Wisconsin driven car. The gas tank has been sandblasted and repainted by a auto body shop. The convertable top and hard where is in good oridginal condtion for its age along with glass backwindow. Might need a new head liner. Will also need a new wirring harness. I took it apart and mark everything best I could. The engine and transmission ran well when I pulled it apart. It could be a nice car once its done but if I dont sell it I will probably part it out. Please asked all questions, This car will have to be picked up by buyer, Thanks for looking. On Apr-22-11 at 10:06:47 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted mention I live in Neenah WI, but the car is located in New London WI 54961 about 35 miles from here, That's where I was working on it.
