Absolutely Stunning and Elegant 1964 Lincoln Continental Sedan Every American regardless of age remembers the words of the news commentator’s voice as he said “the Presidents car is turning left onto Elm Street” and the rest is history! Forever in American History the 1963-1964 Lincolns will be remembered as being a part of the era of Camelot. This classic 1964 Lincoln suicide door sedan is in amazing shape. The car has factory a/c, heat, six power windows, door locks, power steering, power brakes, original am radio (the internal parts have been converted to am/fm), add on eight track player (still works), Power antenna, cigarette lighters, map lights, power seats and its original leather interior in beautiful condition. This world class sedan has traveled only 2,071 miles a year totaling 97,343 in it’s 47 year history. This motor car was a direct competitor to the Cadillac Fleetwood and Chrysler Imperial. This Lincoln has been pampered its entire existence. This is not the Lincoln Convertible but it has a very "open" feel to it with all the glass. There is not rust in the “typical” Lincoln places on this car. It is rock solid under all the doors and behind the rear doors. There is a small amount of bubbling in the trunk lid paint in only a few spots. The trunk lid is extremely solid. The pictures are a fair and accurate portrait of this awesome example of a motor car. The car is nocturne blue ( a white blue) with a stunning coordinating blue leather interior. This car is a in a very high strong driving and enjoying condition. It can hold its own in any setting. I have owned the car several years and bought it from a friend who meticulously maintained it for the 15 plus years he owned it. The car will cruise wonderfully at highway speeds in comfort offering a smooth and stable ride. The 1964 Lincoln Continental sedan’s wheelbase and overall length were increased by 3 inches over the previous year resulting in a wider rear door and more leg room for rear passengers. Perhaps the most obvious change over the prior year was the wider roof section obtained by the change from curved to flat glass in the door windows. Fuel consumption was rated at 10-13 miles per gallon! From the day they rolled of the line these Lincoln sedans were praised for their clean lines, luxurious interiors and exceptional ride. 1964 Lincoln Specifications: List Price $6,292.00 plus options. If you are interested this massice luxury sedan would go 0-30mph in 4.5 seconds and hit 100 mph in 33.5 seconds. But for the less race minded person it would make it to 70 in 15 seconds and 80 in 19. The Lincolns crisp fender line is a hallmark of this car and set an industry wide styling trend in the coming years. He has two kids that he has had for 23 and 20 years who are in college and the wife has said that the seller will continue to fund the lives of said college individuals and that some of the garage toys will be "moved out" to do so.
