1985 Honda Nighthawk

This is an 1985 Honda Nighthawk 650. It only has 14K on it and looks to have had a pretty decent life. I bought it 4 years ago with 11,500 miles. I have put a new rear tire on it as the old one looked like it was starting to dry rot and I don't like taking unnecessary chances. I did a full tune up on it when I bought it and have changed the oil every 1,000 miles. It has a 4 into 1 Kerker pipe on it that sounds great and lets folks know where you are. Cosmetically, it has a couple issues: it has a few scratches in the top of the tank (see pic), and a little battery acid leaked on the pipe (see pic). Mechanically, it is a great bike, runs hard, shifts smooth, needs a new rider and a front tire. I priced a front tire, and should be able to get it installed for $120ish. I have heard these bikes will sometimes slip in 2nd gear upon fast accelearation, but I cannot get it to do it. Keep in mind, I have never raced or drove it hard. Its a great bike, but 2 years ago I moved up a couple CCs, and this one stays home most of the time. I always keep it inside with a battery tender on it. I make sure to start it once a month to keep the carbs clean. I took it down the road this spring before listing it to make sure no issues had developed and it was in great working order. I would love to keep it, but I need room in the garage and somebody should be riding it! A great metric cruiser for the money. This is a no reserve auction.
