Vehicle Detail

1975 SUZUKI RM125 The Bike That Started It All The Rarest Suzuki RM Completely Restored Overview: If you are a collector this is a must have since it is the first year the RM went into production and the only RM to have a down pipe. It is by far the rarest of all RM's and certainly a most important part of motocross history. This bike is completely restored to show quality so if you are looking for a clean rider, this bike is not for you. This bike deserves to be shown off at vintage bike events or shows or just put inside your house like I did to be admired. This is a "no expense spared" restoration and is absolutely new! It's no different than going into your Suzuki dealer back in 1975 and seeing it on the showroom floor... Details This is the most detailed restoration I have ever seen. I purchased the bike 2 yrs. ago from a gentleman out of Arizona who professionally restores these bikes. I can tell you he spent over $5400 just in parts alone not counting the cost of the bike and over 100 labor hours spent building the bike back to showroom condition. This bike even has an original NOS cylinder on std. bore, never been run. It has only been rolled out of the delivery truck into my game room and has sat there over the last few years never started or ridden. ( when you see this bike you know not to... It is one of a kind! ) Every part has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and replaced. Here's a short list of whats been done. 1. All aluminum parts have been polished. 2. All painted parts have been repainted or powder coated. 3. All bolts have been zinc plated. 4. All seals have been changed. 5. Triple clamp and swingarm bearings have been changed. 6. Original pipe completely restored to new. 7. Original gas tank has no dents or scratches. 8. Fenders, side panels, front number plate all new. 9. Tires, sprockets, chain, levers, cables, all new. 10. Motor completely gone through top to bottom, w no run hours. Conclusion I hate selling this bike as the 1975 Suzuki RM125 was my first real race bike as a 13 yr. old kid back in the day. I purchased this bike to keep, as it brought back some of the best times I had while growing up racing with my bud's. Anyways, the wife is not as emotional about these earlier times and she needs more space in the room. Time for someone else to show and enjoy. The gentleman who restored this bike does RM's back to show quality but he even said he will not be doing anymore 1975's just too hard for him to find any parts for this super rare machine. Please review all the pictures, they really don't do the bike justice...as I don't take the best pictures. If you want the best 1975 RM125 in existence here's your rare opportunity. ( a big thanks to Jim for building such a beautiful machine as I would have never had the patience or time to do it myself. ) Bike is being sold with Bill Of Sale only as these bikes did not come with titles. Good Luck! On Apr-12-11 at 19:04:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I also came across the original owners manual in very good condition and a few more magazine articles. These old magazine articles are really cool and are preserved in plastic sleeves.
