This 1924 Model T Touring has had a complete restoration in the 1960's, resulting in a beautiful patina 40 years later. The car was prepared for a tour through New England some years ago, and we made sure to make it a very reliable for the big trip. Unfortunately the New England tour never materialized, so instead we used it most summer weekends for coffee or ice cream outings, in addition to the obligatory neighborhood tour any time we have guests and an occasional wedding. The wooden wheels are in excellent condition with five new tires, tubes and flaps. The coils have been replaced with a distributor ignition system which makes the engine run stronger and start better. We live on the top of a hill, and this engine easily climbs our steep uphill road. Other parts replaced also include the coil, valves and gaskets, wheel bearings, the radiator core, spark plugs, fan belt, wiring harness, carburator, battery and the ignition switch assembly. The HI/LO, reverse and brake bands have been replaced in the transmission. We also installed new interior door panels. This is not a trailer queen, it is an excellent driver, an original tin Lizzy. I have (a reprint of) the original factory repair manual, which is not only handy for repairs, but a good read for insight into the history and simplicity of these cars. It describes in amazing detail how to take the whole car apart and assemble it again. This manual is included in the sale, as well as some Model T tools and spare parts.
