1968 Ford Mustang 2 door hardtop. Original California black and yellow plate vehicle. One owner for the past 43 years. Well taken care of. 130,067 original miles. Original V8 289 cubic inch motor with original air cleaner. Automatic transmission. Engine runs well and transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Bonestock, unmolested car owned by a mature couple. Original Mustang yellow. Has been repainted a couple of times over the years. Does have some fading. Hood is definitely lighter than rest of hood. Absolutely zero rust and no rot. Always garaged. Straight car, never been in any major accident.. Some chips along the body line on the passenger door along with one moderate chip behind the passenger door itself. Also a little chipping below the "T" and "A" in the Mustang emblem on the trunk lid. Also a minor chip near the left tail light. Other than that very presentable, with no dings or dents or visible scratches on the body. Front bumper and grill are in excellent shape. Rear bumper is straight, but has several scratches and some very minor rust. Interior has been redone. Perfect seats, front and rear. Dash is in good shape, though it does have a small crack near the driver's side. It does, however come with a dash pad. Headliner looks perfect and has working dome light. Carperting is in fair shape. A little wear on the front passenger's side and a vertical tear on the driver's side. Door panels look good though there is a spot of wear at the bottom of the passenger's door panel. Package tray is also showing some wear. All glass is original Ford Mustang glass and is solid and intact. Does have a couple of geometric shapes scratched into the glass on the passenger's window by the owner's son when he was a tot, and also a small scratch on the inside of the windshield near the middle right. Car is equipped with an aftermarket JVC Mustang style am/fm cassette player, not hooked up. It also has an aftermarket rubber antenna too. All the gauges are operational on the vehicle. Horn bar is broken, but horn still works. Wipers work well too. And working heat. This is a non-a/c car. All the lights work except for the right back light which appears it need a new bulb. Turn signals work too, though you have to hold up the lever manually to make the right turn signal work.. Car has good working 4 wheel disc hydraulic brakes. The brakes were serviced within the past year. The emergency brake works well too, except for the fact that the top of the handle is broken off. The package tray in the rear is showing some minor wear. Had aftermarket shoulder belts, but have since been cut. Need to be removed completely or replaced to give it a cleaner look.. Does have working lap belts. Car is a running, driving, roadworthy daily driver that starts right up every time. Ride is smooth and car has nice rumble to it. Does have an aftermarket dual glass pack exhaust system. Car does have some minor squeaks and creaks over bumps and such which the owner mentioned that could be from the rubber mounts, that might need replacing. Gas tank was replaced about 10 years ago or so. Car has also been well maintained with regular oil changes and always being garaged when not in use. Does have orignal Mustang gas cap, though it is heavily scratched. Also the chrome is all in decent shape, though there is some pitting on the vertical strips near the rear side windows. Both rear side windows are not working. Might be off track. Both passenger and driver's windows work well and both doors appear to be aligned and open and shut with ease. Has a replacement original equipment Mustang liner in the trunk with a full size spare. Trunk pan looks perfect. All the tires are in great shape. Has original Mustang hubcaps. Is missing the Pony emblem on the right fender and the "U" from Mustang on the trunk lid is missing one of its rivets and hangs loose. Vinyl top has been replaced a couple of times over the year. Currently it is in very presentable shape with only a tiny nick near the back of the top.. The seat folds back on the passenger seat for people to get into the car and sit in the rear seat. Unfortunately that option is not working on the driver's side. Car has rally stripes with a dual induction hood. Hood has the option of directional lights inside the dual induction that can be seen by the driver. This option is not working currently and the lense is missing on the left side of the induction hood. Owner has all receipts from 1968 on, including original owner's manual and warranty. Owner has a clear title in hand and the vehicle is registered until July 2011. Absolutely no trades, please don't ask. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email before you bid.
