1966 Triumph TR4-A IRS, I am not an expert in classics however i enjoy them and appreciate them, i am going to try to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability. Car was mostly garage kept, it is a very solid car, but to be perfect needs some tlc. The car runs and drives very well and has been for some years, getting its routine tune ups and oil changes, it has been used as a Sunday driver for many years. The true miles are unknown but i believe motor and trans to be original, but I am not 100% sure. Tires are in good condition. Brakes are in good shape. Clutch is very good and car shifts like butter. Starts right up and idles nicely. I would go over cooling system because it seems to be running a little on the hot side, it might just be the gauge or possibly the thermostat, though, not too sure. It was never overheated, I would check out before a long drive on highway to be sure. Interior doors are in great condition, along with seats. The dashboard has some small cracks in it, however i have recently obtained some new dash pieces but never got around to install. I have the new dash board parts along with the cars original dash, i believe i have most of the new dash pieces, except one of the center pieces. The wood dash does need some attention if you want it to be perfect but it is complete and functional as it is. Carpets looks ok but they are very old and i would change if you decide to install new dash. But again they are in decent usable condition. Vehicle has no major rust, if there is any rust, it is surface and very minor, Engine compartment is rust free and in very nice condition. Also trunk is rust free and in great shape. Rockers are in good shape and solid. The floors are good with a couple two inch repairs about 15 years ago. The car is complete with a lot of new parts as well. i just have no time to complete and make perfect. The doors open and close like they should. The windows go up and down smoothly as well. Wipers work but they are slow. Brake lights work but blinkers need some attention. The windshield has a chip in it refer to pix. Chip is located lower passenger side. I have a new rubber seal for windshield, it is dry rotted. The door weather stripping on the door jams were taken off and need to be replaced. The paint looks very good however it is not perfect when you get up close. If you want a daily driver then maybe some touch ups to hood would do it for you, but if you want show car or something near perfect your gonna have to repaint. Again car is nice but needs some attention to be perfect. Whatever your intentions are for the car, it is a solid foundation to make really, really nice or just keep the way it is and keep driving around. Like i said i would install the new dash i have and redo the wood veneer just to make inside nice, nice:) I hope whoever wins this car appreciates it and takes good care of it.
