It is an Oregon blue plate car, but there are only service records dating back to 2001.The engine in the car is not original as evidenced by the serial number, but is very likely a factory replacement case that was stamped with the chassis number when installed in the car. The powerplant is tight and strong just like a 95-hp SC engine should be. It is fitted with Weber carbs and K&N air filters. The COA states the car is 1965 vintage, but Porsche's serialization for the Karmann coupe indicates that it is actually a 1964. Odometer likely does not reflect original mileage.The paint on the car is about 20 years old, but is holding up. There are rust bubbles along the bottom edges of both doors, but the rocker panels are showing no signs of rust. There is a repainted patch on the left rear quarter panel that doesn't match well, which you can see when you start to look for it.The gaps are very good and the doors open and close as they should. The pan looks great, with some small patches where the undercoating has peeled away. The glass in the car is excellent. The brightwork is very good. The chrome wheels are very good.The interior may not be completely original, but is in good to very good condition. The driver and front passenger seats both look very good, with the driver's seat having a small tear (see photo).This car still has a 6-volt electrical system.
