The vehicle was seized and awarded to our department. We hold title in our name.
The car runs and drives – although our experience with it is limited to short drives of less than 5 miles at a maximum speed of 45 miles an hour. Often, people want to know why we only drove it that far and or fast – the reason is because when we seize the car we drive it to an impound lot and then to a third party mechanic. We don’t have the need or opportunity to drive farther or faster.
This car has a long list of features – The car has power windows, power door locks and a keyless entry. The vehicle features an automatic transmission, air conditioning, interval wipers and power side mirrors. This vehicle has a rear defroster, cup holders in the front and rear and a kicker box (speakers) in the trunk. The vehicle has alloy wheels, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. This vehicle is front wheel drive.
The car needs a good cleaning.
The vehicle has a few small dings, dents and scratches and the paint is peeling on the roof and near the gas cap with some rust showing. The review mirror is not attatched, the passenger side rear tire is in the trunk and the spare is on the vehicle – Please see the pictures for more information and the third party inspection notes. The front passenger side window does not work.
*Note* Today, when moving the car we found the passenger side rear brake was frozen. This is typical of seized cars that sit for a long period of time. We drove it briefly and the brake released allowing the wheel to spin freely- however, the ABS and Brake lights came on. They have since gone off - we describe these vehicles to the best of our ability and believe this event was noteworthy.
Our third party inspection shows the battery is dead and needs replacement or a charge.
The vehicle will start with a jump and runs on its own. The engine runs smoothly. Current mileage – 151761
