Vehicle Detail
Here up for sale is a 1953 Desoto. The car as you will see in the pictures is in really great shape for the age. Interior is 98% complete and Body is 98% completely straight. All glass in car is there except for right rear window (there but broken). The interior is only missing the right rear door panel and the headliner is falling down. Exterior has all pieces. Original hub caps in back seat. Left front fender has a small dent in it left front turn signal lens got broken on transport from Nevada to Georgia. The emblem on left front fender is broken. Has all exterior trim straight for the most part. The trim for rear Quarters someone ran a screw through them on front of them to screw back onto the car. The front grill is 100% and all solid not broken like most you find. When you look at the pictures you will see some surface rust starting to come up on the car. I intend to have all areas treated and primered before pick up if you prefer me too just wanted to show that the car has been untouched for many years. Other then the surface rust the car is SOLID from what i have seen looking around.. Fenders good Quarters good and have not seen any holes in the floor pans from the areas of carpet i have lifted up. The engine is not in the car. The engine has been siting in my garage since it arrived in georgia. Engine is 100% complete even had belt on the pulleys until i cut it off to turn the engine over. Starter engages normally. Transmission is still bolted to the engine and has never been unbolted from the engine since been in the family (about 6 years). Drive shaft is in trunk along with original tire and i believe i seen the original style jack in trunk also with some old canister style oil filters. My father baught the car with plans to restore it but got sick shortly after he got sick and couldnt do anything to it. Any questions please feel free to call or text Cell 12299211394 ask for Jerry.
