It had been used since new by the City of San Diego, for this reason it was "exempt" from any vehicle rules and regulations that are applied to the residents of the state of California. I went to the DMV to complete the transfer paperwork and was informed that the only way I could register this truck in California was to register it in another state first, then bring it into California. This is what I did, I proceeded to register the truck in Nevada. I have had Nevada plates on the truck for 1 year now. The renewal come due and I want again to the California DMV. They informed me this time that the truck is considered a 49 state vehicle and will not be allowed into California. So again going along with all the rules and regulations as a small business owner in this state, I must sell this truck.
