1990 MERCEDES 190E w/ 2.6L Engine. What you are looking at is a very nice example of the 190E. This car was very well cared for since day one, it did not have many owners and the owner who had the car last maintained it extremely well. This is one of the best running 2.6 cars that we have seen in a long time with this kind of mileage. We even have the original window sticker to this car. You can tell just by sitting in it that it was maintained so well. The appearance is above average, of course it has some wear and tear on the body but noting significant. The roof is a little sunfaded but not enough to really bother you. The tires look practically brand new. The brakes are perfect. It starts right up, runs, drives and shifts excellent. The a/c is cold, mostly everything works inside the car. The seats and carpets as well as the wood trim are impeccable. The odometer (typical in these cars) stopped working at 108,003. However, the mileage has not exceeded that by much. It stopped working in the summer and the owner who lives in NY, had the car garaged at his second home in CT up until about a month ago. So we concluded that the miles are within a thousand or so of what is shown on the odometer. The speedometer and other gauges are in functioning order. If you can understand that this is a 20 yr old car and not brand new, you will be very impressed as well as satisfied with the cosmetic and mechanical condition of this 190.
